The options window allows you to configure Dialer Queen to fit best your requirements. This window consists of several tabs:
General options tab
This tab contains:
- Language - choose the preferred language of program interface. Note: you can download new language modules from the Dialer Queen's web site at: www.DialerQueen.com
- Run on Windows startup - check this option if you want Dialer Queen
to run upon Windows startup
- Start in small mode - check this if you want Dialer Queen to run in small
mode rather than in normal
- Start minimized - if this option is checked, Dialer Queen will start minimzed
- Minimize on connect - check this if you want Dialer Queen to minimize to system tray
upon connection
- Dial on startup - if checked, Dialer Queen will attempt to connect to the last selected DUN entry on startup
- Startup password - use this option to prevent undesirable people from accessing your dial-up connection. Check this option, then click the "Change" button and enter your password twice. That is! Nobody except you can now run Dialer Queen!
- Show Tip of the Day - Tip of the Day used to introduce you to the vast Dialer Queen's capabilities.
- Sticky mode - if checked, Dialer Queen will snap to the screen edges
- Keep on top option allows you to see Dialer Queen's window always over other windows thus
providing you with an easy access to the program interface
- Show connection log - if option is checked, you'll see the connection log window, containing
detailed information about dialing process
- Snap connection log - you may choose to snap connection log window to the main Dialer Queen's window. If you do, connection log will be snaped to the main window and will move as you move the main window. Instead, you may choose connection log window to not snap and position it where you want.
Interface options tab
This tab contains:
- Double click in connection list - You can choose an action to perform when you doubleclick the connection name in the connection list
- System Tray - You can choose how System Tray should be used: should Dialer Queen display only a tray icon or only a taskbar button or both.
- System Tray icon hint -
this is a new feature in version 1.3, it allows you to see all vital information on the fly. You can configure which information should be shown in a System Tray icon hint here.
Dial options tab
This tab contains:
- Always redial - means that Dialer Queen will automatically redial until the
connection is established
- Redial attempts - if you have not checked the option above, you may specify the number
of times to automatically redial here
- Max. wait time - if your modem doesn't answer during maximum wait time, Dialer Queen
will automatically redial the number
- Redial after - this option allows you to set the amount of time to wait, before redial
- Redial using next phone number - if your DUN entry contains several phone number and this
option is checked, Dialer Queen will use next phone number to redial if previous attempt failed
- Redial if connection broken - if checked, Dialer Queen will redial your connection if it dropped
- Min. connection speed - specify minimum line baud rate here. If connection will be established
at lower speed, Dialer Queen will disconnect.
- Keep Alive - this is the feature to prevent your ISP from disconnecting you due to the long period of
inactivity. If this option is checked, Dialer Queen will periodically ping your ISP simulating network activity
- Hide passwords from system is an option to add even more security to your networking. With this option checked Dialer Queen will remove dial-up password from the Windows registry, so nobody could steal your passwords and only Dialer Queen will be possible to dial your connections. Combine this option with "Startup password" mentioned above to get a completely hackers-off system!
- Callback number - this feature allows you to setup a callback number. That is, when you have dial your ISP and your ISP has authenticate you, the connection will be automatically dropped and Dialer Queen will go into the "Waiting for callback" state and wait for callback from you ISP by the number you specified in the corresponding field. Note: your ISP must support callback in order to this feature work.
Plugins options tab
This tab allows you to see what plugins are currently installed, start or stop and
configure them. See for more info.
Skins options tab
Here you can see currently available skins. To preview any skin you can click the "Apply" button.

Sounds tab
This tab contains the list of possible events. Each one can be assigned with specified sound. I.e., if
some event have happened (for example, successful connect) a sound, associated with this event
will be played. If you are plan to use Dialer Queen during night time, you may find useful the
option to turn off all sounds at night.
Note: if you want your new settings to be saved, you must click the "Save" button!
If you click the "Cancel" button all changes you've made will be lost!
